Summary
I’m a digital creative leader with over 25 years’ experience across agencies and digital businesses, most often in roles where things needed to be understood, stabilised or improved.
I began my career in the creative industry, working with a wide range of brands and teams. That experience continues to shape how I think about ideas, people, and the relationship between creativity and commercial reality.
Over time, my focus shifted toward leadership and problem solving. I’m drawn to situations where businesses are growing, changing, or becoming more complex - and where clarity, structure and judgement are needed.
Most recently, as Managing Director of Evo Agency, I’ve led the business through significant challenge and change, rebuilding stability, supporting the team, and working closely with clients across multiple sectors.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with founders, leadership teams and boards - often acting as both a sounding board and an operator.
How I Think
I’m not a specialist in a single discipline.
My strength is understanding how different parts of a business interact - commercial, operational and human - and helping bring those elements into alignment.
I tend to be most useful when:
A business has grown beyond how it currently operates
Leadership teams are under pressure or slightly out of sync
Decisions are complex and carry weight
There’s a need to simplify, prioritise, and move forward
I’m comfortable stepping into situations that are not fully defined, and working through them with the people involved.
Background
I’ve spent over 25 years working in agencies and digital businesses.
Most recently as Managing Director of Evo Agency, where I’ve led teams through growth, challenge and change.
Before that, I founded, ran and exited my own agency between 2010 and 2020.
My career began in the digital creative industry at pioneering agency Profero, where I was a shareholding director. I later worked with brands including Clarks, Dyson, Pepsi and Katy Perry, building a broad base of commercial and operational experience.
I’m often described as someone who can step into complexity and make it clearer.
“Dave has a rare ability to step into complex situations and make sense of them quickly. He cuts through noise, sees what matters, and helps people move forward with confidence.”

I now work with a small number of organisations each year, typically where there is a need for experienced perspective and support through complexity.
